The suspects had broken through a door and stolen items of an undisclosed value from the residence. Physical evidence was recovered from the scene that assisted officers in their investigation. On Monday, additional evidence led to persons of interest and an arrest was made.
Darrick Foster Pillarreal, 24 of Peach St. Yadkinville was arrested and charged with one count second degree burglary, one count larceny after breaking and entering, one count injury to real property, one count felonious conspiracy and one count attempted breaking and entering. He is currently incarcerated under a $50,000 secured bond.
Warrants were secured and an additional suspect was arrested on Tuesday afternoon.
Christopher Cody Caudill, 22 of Buck Shoals Road in Hamptonville was arrested and one count second degree burglary, one count larceny after breaking and entering, one count injury to real property, one count felonious conspiracy and one count attempted breaking and entering. As of press time, Caudill was still being processed but bond was expected to be set in the same amount as for Pillarreal.
No property has been recovered at this time. The investigation has led investigators into the State of Virginia to recover property. Captain Patrick Long of the Yadkinville Police Department reports that the investigation is continuing and additional evidence is being gathered in order to locate stolen property.
There is no indication at this time that this theft is related to other break-ins in the area.
